Complete application portfolio

Once your payment has been confirmed, you will receive an e-mail with instructions for completing our online application (For best results, do not use Mac-based devices when completing the application). You will also receive a set of ECA forms that you need to fill out, and a list of additional documents to collect. (You will need to bring these forms and documents with you the day you are scheduled for your parent interview.) Before signing the application you need to read ECA’s mission, vision, core values, philosophy, and statement of faith.

Come for a parent interview

The admissions office will contact you to schedule an interview once your on-line application has been submitted. Please have all forms and documents ready and bring them with you the day of the interview, organizing them in the order that they are listed. If your papers are not complete, we will not be able to receive them and this may lead to your application being put on a waiting list.

Forms

  1. Student Reference Form – to be filled out by the current school
  2. Family Reference Form – to be filled out by the current school
  3. Church Ministry Confirmation – to be filled out by your pastor
  4. Financial Information Form – to be filled out by you, the parent
  5. Legal Guardian Form (if applicable)
  6. Parent Information – to be filled out by biological parents not living with the children (if applicable)
 

Documents

A. Parent Documents

  1. A recent family photo with all individuals identified.
  2. Both parents’ current cédulas.
  3. Passports, if foreigners or Colombians with dual nationality. These must be brought to the registrar’s office to be scanned.
  4. Doctrinal statement of your church or mission if it is one ECA does not have on file.

Families with employment income/ familias con ingresos laborales:

  1. Anual income certification for both parents /certificado de ingresos y retenciones de ambos padres del último año
  2. Payment stubs for the past three months/ desprendibles de pago de los últimos tres meses
  3. Letter certifying length of employment, position, salary, and contract type/ constancia laboral en la que se detalle cargo, salario, tipo de contrato y antigüedad
  4. Income tax return for both parents/declaración de renta ambos padres

Families with self-employment income/ familias con ingresos independientes:

  1. Income statement signed by certified accountant/certificación de ingresos firmada por contador público
  2. Copy of accountant´s professional ID, and disciplinary records certificate/ copia del documento de identidad, tarjeta profesional, y certificado de antecedentes disciplinarios del contador
  3. Income tax return for both parents/declaración de renta ambos padres

 

Families with other income/ familias con otros ingresos

B. Student Documents

  1.  Birth certificate.
  2. Tarjeta de identidad (Colombian students) or visa (foreign students).
  3. Cédula de extranjería (foreign students)
  4.  Student health insurance card.
  5. For 7th-12th grade students: a letter of recommendation from the youth pastor or other church leader stating how long the leader has known the student, what activities the student participates in, and giving the leader’s perception of current spiritual interest and/or maturity.
  6.  For 3rd – 12th grade students: a handwritten autobiography in English for which the student receives no help either human or technological. It should include a description of the family, places the student has lived, interesting things the student has done, hobbies, schools attended, and experience with God. Length: 1-2 paragraphs for 3rd-6th graders; 2-3 paragraphs for 7th-12th graders.

C. Academic Records

  1. For students coming from a Colombian school:
    • entering 2nd – 5th: the original final grade certificates (certificado de desempeño) from the last 2 years (no photos or copies).
    • entering 6th – 12th: the original final grade certificates (certificado de desempeño)from each school year from 5th grade up (no photos or copies).
  1. For students coming from a school in another country:
    • entering 2nd – 12th: apostilled copies of all year-end report cards for grades completed outside of Colombia, as well as the partial report for the year in progress when applicable.
    • entering 10th – 12th: official high school transcript in addition to apostilled year-end report cards for all previous grades
  1. Relevant test results from psychologist, psychiatrist or learning specialist when applicable.

Bring your child for testing

Once your paperwork has been reviewed and approved, you will be notified of the date/s on which your child should come for testing.
