Here at ECA, it is our passion to spread the love of Jesus all over the city of Bogota, surrounding cities, through the beautiful country of Colombia, and to the world.  Each class, from Pre-K to 12th grade, has a ministry that they pray for and support by providing opportunities to learn and be loved.  We chose these specific ministries from a variety of ministries run by parents or churches associated with the school.

We partner with each ministry every month in a variety  of ways:

  • Praying for the various needs they have
  • Going to the ministries, playing games, teaching English, teaching Bible stories, and singing worship songs
  • Sending gifts or supplies that they need
  • Writing pen-pal letters back and forth

It’s amazing what 303 Jesus-loving students can do!!!

Take a look at what each grade is up to:

Where do we go?

Ancianato San Rafael (Home Care for Elderly) in Chía

What do we do?

1 visit per semester each class.

There are over 110 elderly grandparents living at the San Rafael Home for the Elderly. We visit, sing songs, and color pages with the elderly. Every time we go, the grandparents are filled with excitement and joy. This is a great way for the little ones to serve Jesus with a hug or a smile.

ECA students have been blessed to build friendships with children from this ministry as they join together for activities and fun each semester.

Findesin

What do we do?

The Jungle
The Jungle is located in the middle of “zona de tolerancia” (a place where prostitutes are located) close to downtown. We deal with spiritual forces, drugs, sorcery, etc. Before we go, we spend time praying for those children. The ministry has around 130 children ages 3 to 11.

Nuevo Nacimiento
The program welcomes teen mothers at risk, and provides them care such as lodging, food, schooling, psychological counseling, family care, and social inclusion training to minimize risk to the mothers and their babies.
Once a month, we spend time with the girls, encouraging them, helping with their babies, teaching them the Bible, playing games, painting nails, etc. – different activities to show the teen moms and babies the love of Jesus in action.
