Save Saturday morning, January 27 for our annual Parent Educational Workshops and our 2nd Parent Assembly for 2017-18. Colombian law requires that we have a quorum for the Assembly.
Besides the Assembly, there will be two sessions of workshops, with multiple topic options, that will enrich you in your parenting endeavor. Taught by ECA teachers, parents, and staff, the workshops touch on areas that the school has seen a need to share more information about, and we are convinced that they will help you invest in your child’s growth. Next week we will send you the workshop names so you can identify the two that interest you most.
The morning’s schedule will be as follows:
|8:30 – 9:00a||Registration & Childcare drop-off|
|9:00 – 9:45a||Session #1||Classrooms|
|10:00 – 11:00a||Assembly||MPR-Library|
|11:15 – 12:00p||Session #2||Classrooms|
Snacks: Seniors will be selling snacks by the fountain throughout the morning.
Childcare: Seniors will also provide childcare for children 4-11 years old at a cost of $10.000 for one child, $15.000 for two, and $20.000 for three (includes a small snack). If you would like childcare, write a note in your child’s student planner to confirm. You may pay on the day of the event, in classroom 112 next to the infirmary.
Offering: During the assembly, we will be taking up a collection for the upcoming mission trips to Amazonas, Sierra Nevada, Guajira, Chocó, Cumaral, and Bucaramanga. We have 66 High School students and 26 ECA staff signed up for these outreaches occurring during Holy Week. The ECA community has the privilege of SENDING these teams of students and teachers to serve and to learn.
Parking: We recommend that you park at Restaurante La Margarita ($5.000 for the morning), but do not leave articles of value in your car. We highly recommend NOT parking your car on the streets as there will not be a guard to watch cars parked off campus.
Attendance: Do not forget to bring your ECA Attendance ID (barcode card) to register your attendance at the main gate. You will get 3 family points for attending the 2 workshops and the Assembly, and we need to verify we have a quorum at the Assembly to fulfill Colombian law.
