Praise & Prayer

We praise the Lord Jesus

  • For the faithful support of our Parents’ Prayer Committee. They pray daily and gather each month for 24 hours of prayer. We are grateful for these families who intercede for our staff, students, and families before our Heavenly Father. What a blessing it is to know that our school community is being covered in prayer!
  • For the 7th & 8th grade retreat in Tenjo. It was an amazing experience for both our students and staff worshiping the Lord together. During the third session, students participated in a foot-washing. They had the opportunity to ask one another for forgiveness and to spend time with the Lord seeking His presence. We are grateful to the Lord for allowing our students to experience His love and presence in such a special way. We pray that what God began in their hearts during this retreat will continue to grow and that they will apply what they learned to their daily lives.
  • For Fall Break and the opportunity that staff and students had to enjoy time with family and friends, while preparing for all that God has for the 2nd Quarter.
  • For our High School Service Trips. God answered our prayers, granting our students safety, unity, and a positive impact in the communities they visited. We praise Him for the incredible opportunity to serve across four distinct locations, where each grade level became the hands and feet of Jesus. Here is a quick look at how our students served:
    • 12th Grade blessed a community in Sopó by building and installing two new playgrounds and ministering to children.
    • 11th Grade traveled to Tunja, dedicating their time and energy to regional outreach projects, painting and repairing a playground, English classes for adults, and pouring out love and companionship on local grandparents.
    • 10th Grade served students across two local schools in Villa de Leyva and helped with work projects.
    • 9th Grade divided their time between Soacha to serve over 700 students in a local school, and worked on the farm, La Granja, hosting visiting students and doing work projects in Sibaté.
  • For the last staff visa that was approved in September! Continue to pray for the 2 visas that are still in the renewal process.

Join Us in Prayer

  • For Beth Afanador, who is in North America for the annual ECA recruiting trip. Pray as she works out the logistics to share about ECA. The next few weeks, she will be in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Iowa.
  • For Tessa Wagner the new ESL student teacher. She will be starting at ECA on Mon, Oct 26.
  • For the 2nd quarter of the school year. We pray God will give the students wisdom and determination as they grow physically, academically, relationally, and spiritually. Let us also pray for our parents, that God would give them wisdom to understand the season their children are in and help them be a source of support, guidance, and encouragement along the way.
