ECA’s philosophy of education is based on the following objectives:
- To assist parents in providing for the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of their children
- To provide a formal education program that meets the needs of children of Christian families in a manner that is relevant to the present society as well as to the society in which they will eventually live
- To train and equip future generations of Christ-centered, bilingual servant-leaders who will transform their world as they follow Jesus
- To provide this education at a moderate cost
The ECA Bilingual Program is an early-exit English immersion model that uses sheltered English instruction to support students as they develop proficiency in both languages. In the early years, students build literacy and foundational concepts in their first language while developing oral English skills. From PreK through 1st grade, instruction integrates both languages, using the first language as a bridge to support English acquisition. For Spanish-speaking students, the use of Spanish gradually decreases as English instruction increases, with English becoming the primary language of instruction by 2nd grade.
The school provides preventative tools and systems to help students be successful. Some of these are:
-
Interdisciplinary Committee (IDC): This committee is made up of specific academic staff members who evaluate and provide support for students who are struggling academically, socio-emotionally, and/or behaviorally.
-
Response to Intervention (RTI): ECA provides support for students who are not reaching grade-level expectations.
-
Teacher Aides: Each class from PreK – 5th has an assigned teacher aide who collaborates with teachers to support the students’ learning process.
-
Student Services Department: Support is provided for students through English Language Learner (ELL) assistance, Learning Center support, which includes specialized professionals to help students with low academic achievement or behavioral concerns, and counseling services (offered for both students and/or families.

Elementary School
The elementary program goes from PreK to 4th grade. By the end of elementary, students are expected to be reading and writing fluently in both English and Spanish and to be proficient in math computation skills.
Middle School
The middle school (MS) program goes from 5th – 8th grade. All classes are taught in English except for Spanish class. Students have eight 45-minute class periods each day except Wednesday, which has an adjusted schedule.

High School
The high school (HS) program goes from 9th-12th grade and assumes that all students are preparing for further studies. All classes are taught in accordance with U.S. high school standards and in preparation for U.S. College Board exams, such as the PSAT and SAT.
Career and Calling Guidance Counseling
10th-12th-grade students receive guidance in their identity in Christ and God’s purpose for their life and future after ECA
