Thanks for all of your prayers. The team is healthy and we are really enjoying getting to spend time together.

Today was special because we got to attend the beginning of the Kogi’s church service for worship. After that, we taught Sunday school at the school in the community. We made a really cute sheep craft with the kids. They loved It!

On Sundays, the community (mostly the youth) plays soccer. Our team played against two Kogi teams. We were excited to win the first game, but lost the second. 🙁

After lunch, we split into two groups to do house visits with one of the pastors and another guy. It was really inspiring to hear their stories of coming to faith and how God used people, especially relatives, in their lives to share the gospel with them. It was a great reminder of the power of the gospel and the importance of sharing it with others. We also got a better idea of the struggles they have endured by not being allowed to live with the other community. At the end of each visit, we asked for prayer requests, shared verses that God put on our hearts, and prayed for the families. They have given up a lot to follow Jesus and I’m so thankful that they were open to sharing about their experiences with our team.

Soon we will have dinner, have team time/worship, then we’ll be off to bed to rest up for our last day in the village and hike down the mountain.

Thanks for your prayers! Please pray for us as we say our goodbyes tomorrow and head down the mountain to go back to Santa Marta.
