Today, Friday, we completed our first day of Vacation Bible School. The children at the Wedge Almen school wore out our ECA students. Despite being tired and being thrown a few curve balls, they had great attitudes. After nearly 5 hours of engaging children in Bible and English lessons, the team was still willing to lift lines of children in the air, be pulled in 4 different directions and slide children under/through their legs. After a nice lunch, the team visited with a school family in their home. The family took us in, fed us empanadas, and even let us watch the Colombia-France game with them. It was encouraging to hear their testimony of the impact the school has had on them, as well as learn a little bit more about the community that we are serving this week.

We discovered today that we are expected to run a couple children’s programs tomorrow afternoon & evening (we were under the impression that we were going to be helping or observing). We will use Saturday morning to plan for that as well as the next VBS and English sessions on Monday.

Thank you for your continued prayer and support for us.
