Registration procedures this year have changed in order to comply with District Decree 323 of 2016, Article 5, No. 16, which describes measures for the prevention and control of money laundering and terrorist financing (SARLAFT) for non-profits (ESAL) located in the capital district.
 
  1. All parents must submit a Certificate of Income and Withholdings and a Labor Certification. Income includes salaries, rents, commissions, honorariums, etc. For parents who are self-employed, an income certificate will be required, signed by an accountant, with copies of the accountant’s cédula and professional card attached. Originals of these documents must be turned in to the Registrar by Fri, Mar 9.

If an explanation is necessary, send a letter of clarification. If you have questions, contact finance@eca.edu.co to make sure you have the appropriate documentation.

  1. A clause is being added to school contracts, where the parent certifies that s/he complies with the Colombian norms for SARLAFT, and that they have not been under investigation for violation of those norms.
Due to these new procedures, the Payment Category Application is no longer necessary.
