Today, we want to share a little bit of what we have experienced in Cúcuta. On Wednesday, before going to the airport, the 4th grade class prayed for us as they sent us off. We left for Cúcuta at 8 PM, and although we arrived a little bit later than planned, everything ran smoothly.

Today, we had devotionals in the morning, and headed to Parque Santander—one of the most important parks in Cúcuta. We focused on getting to know Venezuelans’ daily lives here in the city. We were able to share about Jesus with them, and invited them to our Sunday service. Afterwards, we had a time of prayer, and planned for an afternoon activity. We ate lunch together, and because a lot of refugees are living in the hotel, we met with them in the conference room. We started with activities for both adults and kids, then moved on to a time of worship. Then Sam Killins (an ECA alumnus) gave a message. We divided into small groups to listen to their stories, and prayed for them.It was truly an amazing time because they opened their hearts to us and to one another, and most importantly were willing to listen to God’s voice.

After eating dinner, we are going to have a time to play soccer with some of the refugees and continue to build meaningful relationships. It’s been really hot,🌡️but we have been greatly blessed.
