If a student is sick, the parent should email attendance@eca.edu.co before 8:30a for the absence to be counted as excused. Include a cc to the classroom teacher (elementary), ms.principal.assistant@eca.edu.co (middle school), and hs.principal@eca.edu.co (high school) as appropriate.

If a student will miss all or part of a school day, a pre-arranged form must be submitted, with the following procedure:

  • Elementary (PK-4th): The parent should send an email to attendance@eca.edu.co at least 24 hours before the absence, copying the classroom teacher. The email should explain the dates and reasons for the absence.
  • Secondary (5th-12th): The parent should send an email to attendance@eca.edu.co at least 24 hours before the absence, indicating the dates and explaining the reasons for the absence. Additionally, the student should contact the teachers for the classes s/he will miss.
