Leaving Bogotá was crazy. There was a bad accident before the airport and we were late. When we had checked half of the bags, Avianca said that the flight was closed. Fortunately, the Lord sent an angel to reopen it and we checked everything. Then they said that we had to take some boxes back or pay a huge amount of money for them, then the Lord sent another angel and that family paid for almost all the extra heavy bags!! Once we paid, they told us that we had to take those bags to a whole different counter, by that time some students were in different places and we were running all over the airport with some parents to get them together. The speakers were telling us that the flight was closing its doors and when we arrived at the plane’s door, one student was not allowed to get on. As I write this, we are all in the air, 40 minutes from Leticia.

Let’s see what the Lord has for us. Our plans are to take the two vans that are waiting for us at the airport, go to the river, take the boat and go straight to the missionary base El Puente, our home for the next week. We will have our lunch there, settle down, and get ready for tomorrow. Before going to bed at 9;00, we will do our devotional and debrief the craziness of this first day that the lord has blessed us with. Everyone is safe as of now.
