Day 3 in Santa Marta started off with an unexpected change. We were supposed to have a morning and an afternoon session with students in a public school in barrio 11 de noviembre, 100 students per session, but instead, the school invited all 200 students to come this morning, so we had them all at once! Our students helped the leaders from the Seed of Wheat foundation to lead activities teaching about purity, harmony, taking care of our bodies, and gratitude.

After this, we passed out a snack to the school students while our students performed a theatrical dance to the song “You Say” by Lauren Daigle. Then, Samuel Siza gave a brief gospel presentation to the students, and the pastor shared a short message before our time at the school came to an end. The major schedule change gave us an unexpected chance to go to the beach where we bought team bracelets and had some ice cream together. Tonight, we are organizing materials to prepare for the activities at the schools we are visiting tomorrow. Be praying for tomorrow as we’ve been told the neighborhoods we will be visiting have even greater needs than the ones we’ve visited thus far.
