Good morning, everyone!
Thank you all for the prayers and support that made this trip possible. Our last day started without any electricity, but we were still able to have a quick breakfast and devotions because we were headed to the beach! It was great to relax and enjoy one last day together as a team before heading home. We went to playa Blanca where most of us got sunburnt, and then headed to Cartagena to buy some souvenirs and enjoy a scrumptious dinner according to Daniel Seiber.
The sweetest part was the whole team came together to buy a bracelet for each of the boys at the foundation. We have slowly been saying goodbye since Monday night at the bonfire, but most are hoping to see them one more time early this morning to say our final farewells. It’s amazing how fast connections have been made and knowing that this may be the last time we ever see them. Everyone’s heart was touched by the kids and they will leave a lasting impact. Thank you again for making this trip possible.
Praises:
- For the impact made on those who went and those we served
- For no major health or weather complications
- For unity on the team, willingness to take feedback and adjust, passion each person brought, and how they took advantage of each opportunity
Prayer requests:
- For healing for a boy at the foundation whose hip was injured when he tripped during the Easter egg hunt
- For safety as we travel back to Bogota
- That we would be able to reflect, and that this experience would resonate in our lives as everything goes back to normal
