We have 11 staff members who are not returning for 2023-24 or for next semester. Here are their plans so you can pray for them.
Alexia Pelletier: I plan to return to my hometown outside Los Angeles, California, but I’m not sure for how long. I would appreciate prayer specifically for my time back home with my family, for however long it is, that I would be present and serve my family well. 😊
Allison Conrad Chaparro: I am moving back to Pennsylvania to be with family, although I am really going to miss my ECA family. My husband David and I hope to become parents in the near future, so we would appreciate your prayers for God’s timing in the growth of our family.
Anastasia Gilmore: I will be returning to my hometown in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Lord willing will be teaching music at a school there in the fall. I would appreciate prayers as I continue to look for a job for the fall and settle into the routine of being back in my home community.
Thurston Stevenson and Anna James: It’s been an honor serving at ECA! We’ll be returning to Illinois. Anna will be teaching 3rd grade at a classical Christian school while Thurston will be pursuing a career in acting/comedy. We have both learned so much and fallen in love with this beautiful country and community. We’re looking forward to getting married this coming year!
Curtis Bascombe: I will be doing some missions work in Jordan then visiting Bulgaria before returning to Trinidad and Tobaggo. Pray that God will guide as I seek to return to the medical field and use my nursing degree for His glory.
Denise Lockhart: I have really enjoyed teaching PreKinder B for the last 5 months and getting to know people at ECA. While I am returning to Canada at the end of this school year, I do hope to return again next January and help out like I did this year. ECA is a great community and it has been a privilege to be part of the team here. Please pray for all the details to fall into place that would allow me to return next January, if the Lord wills.
Glauber Becker: I am still praying about what God has for me in this next chapter of my life.
Hans and Emily Kelly: We are going to spend 6 months traveling around the U.S. and Europe to visit family and explore job opportunities. Emily would like to teach English to refugees, and Hans would like to work outdoors in environmental conservation or a similar field. Pray that we would live in God’s peace and not in anxiety as we look to the future.
Katie Zevallos: I am planning on moving to the coast of Colombia to serve at Colombia Grace Foundation. Lord willing, I will be getting married in October of this year. I would appreciate prayer as I move into this next stage of my life in marriage, and for strength and grace as I serve at the foundation.
PLUS 3 faculty members will be on maternity leave starting in August or September. Please be praying for them as well:
Candy Davis, Olivia Rogers, and Teresa Niño
