As sick children continue coming to school this year, we remind parents that if your child is sick, they should recover at home.

  • A fever is your body’s natural way of fighting off illness. If your child has had a fever within the last 24 hours, and has not been treated within those 24 hours, they need to recover at home.
  • Eye diseases are highly contagious, and if your child has any kind of redness or pinkness in or around their eye, they should be seen by a doctor for medical management while recovering at home.
  • Digestive issues such as nausea, throwing up, diarrhea, and stomach pain are symptoms that can be very contagious within the school, and they should be treated at home until students are free of vomiting and/or diarrhea for 24 hours.
