We woke up early to squish everything on the bus at 5:30 am and enjoyed some delicious arepas and hot chocolate from Mrs. Rojas, as we headed south to Liceo Nueva Vida.

Many of you might remember hearing at the beginning of the this school year (in 2025) how Liceo Nueva Vida (LNV) was struggling to stay open. God did a miracle and the school was able to reopen this February!

Through this process, ECA has added LNV as one of our service outreach schools and it was a blessing to go serve there with our students today.

We arrived around 8 am and got a tour of the school. Marley, the school director, shared how supportive the families have been in fighting for the school to stay open. She asked for prayers as only 10% of the students are Christians and a very small percentage of the parents are walking with the Lord.

Next, we had a small assembly with the LNV students from Jardín-5th grade (approximately 125 kids). When the assembly finished, we broke up into 7 groups and did rotations with each group. The LNV students were so excited and they especially enjoyed eating the cereal necklaces.

Our ECA students did a great job leading the stations and we saw some hidden talents!

On our way back this afternoon, we reflected on how we have been improving as a team and how each team member stepped up to help in various ways today.

Pray as we wrap up our week tomorrow by heading to Cogua and Cajicá to work with adults at a disability center and elderly people at a nursing home.
