We had some unexpected team changes today, but we rolled with the punches and made adjustments this morning so we could carry out the original activities we had planned.

Our first stop was to a disability center in Coguá. We didn’t fully know what to expect since it was everyone’s first time at this location, but we were met with smiles and lots of hugs.

We worked with about 26 adults who had varying needs. We started our time with them singing two worship songs and then shared a small skit about God’s unconditional love for us.

Next, we put together puzzles and played some games until we transitioned to the craft time. We made flowers and shared the Gospel with special bracelets.

After a yummy snack (made by some of the ECA office staff!) we colored a Bible verse and played one final game before they had to leave. One of the ladies didn’t want to go because she was having such a great time and the leader had to help lead her out to the bus.

Next, we ate a quick lunch and got back on the bus and headed to Cajicá. We arrived at the Centro de Protección Adulto Mayor and said hi to the elderly people. There were about 30 residents.

We started with worship and then played Bingo and helped them make some flowers. They really appreciated the company and especially having someone to talk to.

One man started crying when we told him that God loved him. He told us he loves God but it is hard to be alone since his children never come to visit him. What a blessing it was to just to be present and share God’s love with them.

That wraps up our Bogotá mission trip! We saw God work in many ways and we are so thankful for the support through all of your prayers and donations. We were able to bless those we served with school materials, snacks, and most importantly, God’s great love. May each of us continue to extend God’s great love as we enjoy Holy Week and reflect on God’s free gift of salvation.
