Greetings from Amazonas! Everyone is doing well.

We’re working at a YWAM / JUCUM base where 3 missionary families live and minister, and our team is building them a playground. There are 5 children among them; 3 are here now and 2 are with their Dad getting medical care. Some of our ECA students are working on the playground, and they’ve made progress on getting the basic structure up so far.

Another larger group of ECA students is working with the local community. They’re overseeing la Grand Carrera – The Great Race. Each station of the Race involves facing a challenge that teaches them a biblical truth. Today they ran through the mud carrying some weighted sacks that represented sin, and ended up in the river to wash it away. We also taught them some songs. We expect to be working with the same kids tomorrow, the whole day. Be praying for real comprehension of the life lessons the Lord wants them to capture.

Everyone seems like they’re enjoying the activities. Where we are is very beautiful. It’s been raining some, but mostly it’s hot, sweaty weather. Everyone has bug bites, some more than others!

Poor WiFi in the area doesn’t allow us to send any pictures today – this report came in by phone call, dictated to the typing stenographer. But tomorrow we’ll be in a nearby community where we hope the signal will be stronger, enough to send some pictures.

Thanks for your continued prayers!
