Today was a day full of sunshine and rain. It was a day in which we tested our patience and flexibility. In the morning there were a few kids and I enjoyed teaching them English. They were paying attention and where actually learning and remembering the things being taught. We ate a delicious lunch full of fish and patacon.

After lunch we decided to watch the soccer game. Lamentably, when the soccer game started our internet connection was poor, therefore we couldn’t watch it.

Although we didn’t watch the game I had an incredible time with a 20 year old girl named Laura. She is the mother of Angel, a 4-year-old kid I fell in love with when i was in Chocó last year. She told me how her son remembered me, and it was amazing to learn what he has been up to this past year.

After that, a lot of the neighborhood kids came to our afternoon sessions, and everyone’s patience was tested. We had trouble because a bunch of new energetic kids came in unexpectedly. But we took the situation in, and in a matter of minutes had it under control. I learned how to understand and how to teach and have fun with them. After various team decisions as of today, I am very thankful for days like this one, where God makes me understand that although we have everything planned, He is the one who decides. I say this because we will not be attending the camp that was programmed, but we will stay in Quibdó for the rest of the week. I look forward to continue working with kids and keep having fun with them.

After having a tiering afternoon, God allowed us to go eat at a pizza place, and actually see Quibdo’s plaza and different sites. After eating incredible pizza we returned to the apartment.

Thank you all for you prayers and blessings. We are truly blessed to have you all.
