Hello everybody!

We have come to the end of our 3-day service trip working in partnership with Juventud para Cristo. I can speak for all the teachers and leaders when I say that this trip exceeded our expectations! Our day started with a devotional that Marcus Crockett shared with us, encouraging us to use every opportunity to share the Gospel with the neighbor kids. I also took some time to ask our students what their expectations were for coming on this trip, and how they felt now after having spent time serving in this community. All of them felt this trip was better than what they’d had in mind, and the reason for that was the kids. Everyone connected with the kids and each of them left an imprint on their lives. Our students had a chance to share the Gospel with them, and showed them the love of Christ through their service and company.

We’re happy to say we accomplished most of the goals we set out to do at the beginning of our journey. All the walls were painted inside and out, and the mural was completed. We even managed to share some pizza with 47 kids that came on the last day!! We started off with about 15 kids, and before we left, the Lord doubled the number! The family of one of our students donated plenty of toys to give out!! We are truly amazed by the love we were able to pour into these children and, personally, I feel we planted seeds in our students that will not return unto the Lord void. We had a chat with Fernando Triviño, and already one of our students is interested in coming back and serving with them, using the gifts the Lord is giving him. Some of us teachers also want to keep pouring into these souls with English and dance classes.

Even though our trip has come to an end, this is just the beginning of our partnership with JPC. Please, keep Fernando and the whole team in your prayers.

Prayer requests:

  1. For ECA students’ hearts, that they would be softened to Jesus’ presence, and that they would understand their need of a savior and Jesus as the Lord of their lives.
  2. For Fernando Triviño, for financial resources and other kinds of support, so the foundation can keep growing, able to welcome more kids.
  3. For God to provide 30 more people to “adopt” a kid from the foundation, providing Christmas gifts. Each gift is around $150.000.
  4. For God to open spaces, build mid- and long-term relationships, and coordinate everything between ECA students and ECA teachers, so they have suitable mentors to receive discipleship.
  5. For God to build deep, sincere, lovable, productive, and long-lasting relationships between ECA and Juventud para Cristo, according to His perfect will.

We are beyond grateful for your prayers!

Together in Christ,

– Agustina Bravo López
