Team 1

Hello there!

As our excitement grows thinking that we will see our friends and family soon, we are filled with gratitude for the opportunities we’ve had to serve.

That being said, we have been astounded by the way the community has served and loved us.

Our day began at the beach with the pastor and his family. We were blessed to have some time to relax and simply enjoy one another’s presence with waves crashing in the background.

This time was so valuable as we reflected on how the Lord is leading us to pray for the people here at the church and the community in general: ““Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you” (Isaiah 60:1 NLT).

Now, as we write this, kids and adults are gathered to have their faces painted and spend a few hours playing, dancing, and learning.

The students have stepped up to love those around them through teaching while the leaders have a chance to love others through listening to their stories.

Through everything, we have seen the Lord’s faithfulness as He provides moments for conversations, prayer, and even games and laughter with the people in Chentico.

We thank you for your support in prayer during this time and also ask you to join us in praying for this community long-term.

Pray 1) the Lord would continue to work in the hearts of those here, 2) for those who know the Lord to stand firm, and 3) for those who don’t know the Lord to be able to see His goodness and glory all around.

Please pray for us as we wrap up our visit during tonight’s (Wednesday) church service.

Pray for our safe return home and for our hearts to not forget the things we’ve experienced and learned on this trip.

Signing off!
