After a long day of travelling, we arrived safe and sound to a beautiful greeting from our new friends here at the base in Cumaral.

We began our journey by receiving not only one, but two extra special prayer times from our enthusiastic and supportive 2nd graders, who even blessed us with a gift! In addition, we even had a chance to support the ECA construction project by using the “one family, one pack” ribbons to tie around our wrists as a symbol of unity.

We all piled into the van and were off, for what we thought was a 4-hour drive…little did we know that when we left ECA at 8:30 a.m., we would arrive at 4:30 p.m.! There was SO MUCH traffic on the way, that we were even at a standstill at a construction site for an entire hour! However, after taking a few breaks to eat some delicious arepas, and then chicken for lunch, we made it to Cumaral…praise the Lord!

After an introduction and tour of the premises from the base coordinator, we had a tasty dinner and played some night games all together.

We have only been in Cumaral a few hours, but already feel so welcomed and blessed by the people here.

Until tomorrow,

Allison Foster on behalf of the Cumaral Team.

P.S. In order to protect the security of the children at the base here in Cumaral, we are not allowed to take photographs.
