Parents, make sure your cell phone and email information is always up-to-date in the school data system since in the event of an emergency, one of our ways of communicating with you is by sending a text message to your cell phone or an email. You can see what information we have in RenWeb by going to ParentsWeb / Family Information / Custodial Parent Form. Clicking Save after making changes will submit the new data for verification by the Registrar. Emergency information (like about school closing) will always be posted on our website.
We will always do the best we can to alert you to school schedule changes due to emergency situations with as much time as possible. Unfortunately, it is not always easy to untangle and discern the various, sometimes conflicting, sources of information we receive and to make a decision with certainty. Be assured we do our best to consult multiple reliable sources before making any decision about school closure. When there are city-wide security issues, make sure you are checking your email and/or the ECA website for updated information since decisions can change due to new information being released. Though we do not want to support illegal strikes, the safety of our staff and students is of upmost importance.
For those using the school van service, for EMERGENCY purposes you can communicate directly with your driver and/or monitor and track your child’s van with GPS, per the instructions you already received. For non-emergency purposes, be sure to follow the instructions on page 39 of the Handbook to inform the school of any temporary transportation changes for your child/ren.
