Hi!  I wanted to take a moment today to just say thank you.  There are a lot of schools in this city, but you chose to send your kids here.  So, thank you for trusting us to educate your children.  Thank you for allowing us the incredible opportunity to partner with you in the formation of your kids.  It’s not a responsibility that we take lightly at ECA.  We want the best for your kids.  We strive for excellence in what we do so that every ECA family sees a return on their investment that is far greater than the price of tuition.  We know that you work hard as parents and that you desire the best possible future for your children.  We feel the same way.

I’ve been so blessed over these past 6 years to see so many ECA parents take discipleship seriously.  The intentionality you have as families has been an example that I personally have learned a lot from.  We recognize that you are doing much more to influence your kids than simply sending them to this school.  We know that the time you spend with your kids and the example you provide is far more powerful than any class they’ll ever take here.

As a fellow parent, I’ve come to recognize that one of the best examples I can set for my kids is an example of generosity, especially towards the poor.  The influx of Venezuelans in our city has given us an amazing opportunity to practice generosity on a regular basis.  Whether it’s buying groceries for them or just giving money, I know that my kids are watching and are beginning to make informed decisions about what is truly valuable in this life.   It’s my prayer that they will never think money is more valuable than kindness, or that sacrificial generosity towards others limits our joy.  I pray they will understand that simplified living for us translates into maximized giving for them.

And I don’t think I’m alone in those convictions and prayers.  I believe that my kids go to a school filled with teachers and students whose families believe the same.

So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being that kind of family.  Thank you for modeling for your kids what it looks like to love Jesus and others well.  Thank you for demonstrating generosity in your own way.  I’m honored to be a small part of the family that is El Camino Academy.  And I’m so thankful that you are a part of that family as well!

If there is anything that ECA can do to help or bless you this year, please don’t hesitate to let us know.  We may not be able to meet every need, but we know the One who can, and we love getting to talk with Him on your behalf.  Please write us at donaciones@eca.edu.co (for Spanish speakers) or fundraising@eca.edu.co (for English speakers) and let us know how we can help.  We hope to hear from you!
