The day began with a visit to an elderly care home. It was a very meaningful time in which the ECA students had the opportunity to interact with the residents. They participated in various activities such as playing games, singing, painting the ladies’ nails, working on crosswords and word searches, and engaging in warm conversations. It was a joyful and enriching experience for everyone involved. The residents expressed great happiness and gratitude, and the staff also shared their appreciation, noting that these visits bring encouragement and joy to those who live in the home.

We were also invited by a local radio station in La Vega to share about the activities that ECA has been carrying out in the area, including our work in the church, the elderly care home, and local schools. This was a valuable opportunity to reach many listeners and to share about the intercultural experience of our students.

In the afternoon, we visited the home of a local family to help paint it. The students dedicated the afternoon to cleaning, preparing the walls, and painting. It was a time of service that was both meaningful and impactful. At the end of the visit, we shared the gospel with the family and prayed, asking God to work in their hearts.

Overall, it was a day in which the students were able to reflect the love of Christ through simple yet significant acts of service.
