Santa Marta Update Day 4

Luciana: Our day started out around 6-7 a.m., before going to Parque Bolivar for our evangelism session. Once we got there, we split into groups led by the pastors and the people in the “Fire School” (a discipleship group in the church we are staying in). It was very productive, yet confronting, making us go out of our comfort zone and learn more about the real world around us. Then, we came back to the church to have lunch and some free time to organize the activities we have left for the rest of our trip. At around 4 p.m., we left for a church in a low-resources neighborhood where we had activities planned for kids, including a short play about the miracles Jesus performed. Once we finished, we came back to the church to start our last day of VBS that was focused on Jesus’ crucifixion. We had dinner accompanied by having our team debrief and then hearing one of our staff leader’s testimony. We then closed the night by cleaning the church up and playing soccer for a few minutes. This was a good day where we grew together as a team, but also drew closer to Christ.
