Every year 2nd-12th grade students elect a senior student as the Student Advocate, whose job is to defend student rights and be a voice for the student body. This year’s candidates are Pablo Avila, Miguel Gelves, and Simon Páez. The Student Advocate campaign this year is being done digitally, and videos of the candidates’ presentations, proposals, and debates can be found on the YouTube channel of The Bark, the ECA news report, as well as on ECA social media channels.
Voting will happen today, Mon, Aug 24, through a Google form. Each student in 2nd-12th grade may vote one time for the candidate of their choice, and the winner will be announced on Tuesday through an email to the ECA community.
